Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to find a dance partner before I can take lessons?
No. Both singles and couples are welcome at Arthur Murray, and all singles will be paired with a certified instuctor.

How much will it cost?
Your first lesson is always free. The cost of subsequent lessons will vary according to the number of dances you’d like to learn and what your individual goals are. Your instructor will be happy to design a program that suits your budget and your schedule.

Can I really learn to dance? I’m so uncoordinated.

Years of experience have taught us that anyone can learn to dance. Our students typically find it surprisingly fun and easy, and we promise we’ll have you dancing after your very first lesson.

Where are you located?

We have 4 studios located in the Morris and Union County areas. Find the studio that’s most convenient to you.

What should I wear?
We ask that all students wear appropriate professional attire or eveningwear that won’t inhibit their movement—no jeans, sneakers, or shorts. Women should wear comfortable, closed-heel flats or pumps, and men a pair of dress shoes.
