The Tango is a passionate partner dance in which the man holds the woman and leads her through the music. The New Jersey Ballroom Dance Studios are a great place to learn this dance at your own pace in a comfortable and relaxed environment with certified and highly trained ballroom dance teachers.
The Argentine Tango is danced in a closed or an arm length embrace. The man in essence walks the woman to the music while staying true to its speed and emotion. The ankles and knees brush each other as one leg passes the other and there is minimal lifting of the feet away from the ground. Unlike other dances, the Tango has no fixed “basic step”; the only constant being that the follower is led with the alternate foot and almost never has the weight on both feet at the same time. The Tango is basically an act of communication between the partners in the moments that it is performed.
The New Jersey dance studios located in Chatham, Denville, Kenilworth, Ridgewood and Roxbury allow you to finally get into the dancing shoes of your choice. Besides the Tango, they offer a number of dance lessons in Morris and Bergen County. The dance studios also host social events giving students the opportunity to try out their newly acquired techniques and skills while meeting people and making new friends in addition to several other advantages.
